BEACH JEWELRY LINE All the shells used in the shell jewelry are painstakingly collected from the beaches of Central California and Maui, HI (not imported or store bought). Some of the shells used in the shell jewelry are: Abalone, Clam, Cockle, Cone, Puka, Cowrie/Leho, Dove, Limpet/Opihi, Olive, Oyster, Scallop, Tegula, and Thorn Drupe. The shells used in the shell jewelry are then personally hand sculpted, drilled, polished, and handcrafted into cool pendants, beads, and charms. Each set is a one-of-a-kind design! You can customize your necklace sizes, clasps, and styles (when ordering) with a choice of silver or gold plated cobra chain, black or brown leather, black satin cording, or hemp. Accents included in the shell jewelry are: genuine semi-precious gem stones or crystals, Koko beads (which are made from the husk of Coconuts), wood beads, or Sterling Silver Bali beads. Shell jewelry styles are available in: NOTE: Abalone is a highly toxic shell when cutting into, sanding, and grinding. You must use a very protective breathing mask. Because of the rarity, the hazards in harvesting, and the dangers in manufacturing, legitimate Abalone products will be more expensive! There are fabricated Abalone look-a-likes out there that are very cheap to come by, that are dyed into a variety of colors, and are cheap looking! So buyer beware, and know the difference as a consumer! Also, China and the Phillipines do not have laws governing Abalone harvesting; life and labor come cheap. Please support the American economy, and don't condone overseas practices! Contact me with any custom requests!!
I have also collected a variety of semi-precious stones from the same beaches as the shells that I use in my Beach Jewelry Line. Most are already tumbled, because of their time in the ocean being plummeted against other rocks on the shoreline. I do, however, cut, grind, shape and/or polish (using a variety of shop tools) the best looking ones myself. These I use in my handcrafted wire wrapped pendants, rings, or earrings. I use 20 gauge half-hard half-round Sterling Silver wire, and 20 gauge round 14k Rolled Gold wire in my wire wrapping. I don't spend a lot of time in overdoing the "ornamental wire art" aspect, because I don't want to take away from the beauty of the stones. But I do like how wrapping the stone can enhance its beauty. I have done some wire wrapping on the Abalone jewelry, and I make rings out of this same wire; I think it creates a more interesting finger decoration than a poured metal mold. I also use wire wrapping techniques in a variety of my pendant and earring designs. These are all one-of-a-kind designs!! The Semi-precious Gem Stone Jewelry styles are available in:

Hemp Jewelry
The hemp jewelry in the Beach Jewelry line is made with hemp string that is macramé or chain braided
into:
chokers/necklaces, anklets, and bracelets.

I use Sterling Silver Bali beads, wood beads, and my handcrafted shells as beads, charms and pendants in the making of this beach jewelry. The hemp softens and strengthens with more wear, and can be worn in the water, thus making it a favorite among surfers, swimmers, and beach lovers!! These designs are for girls and guys: one-of-a-kind designs! Custom lengths and clasps are available as options when ordering.

Abalone Jewelry
I use Abalone as one of the types of shells in my shell jewelry to make handcrafted pendants, earrings, beads, and charms in my Beach Jewelry Line. I get my shells for my Abalone jewelry from my family members, who enjoy the diving, the battle against the raging seas to pry them from their rocks, and the feast after. This is a rare shell in Central California because of their limited numbers, short harvesting season, and that it is a highly sought after food delicacy. We are able to use Red, Pink, Green and Black Abalone varieties. This just references the color of the outer shell, which in turn, affects its inner iridescent hues. In New Zealand there is a more blue variety that the locals call Paua. The term "Mother-of-Pearl" is used often in relation to Abalone jewelry, which is the iridescent "pearly" inner section of the shell. The actual "mother" of the pearl- the Oyster- has a similar look to the inside of its shell. The Abalone, in my opinion, is far more striking in its vivid variety of colors! The Abalone jewelry styles are available in:
necklaces, earrings, and jewelry "sets".

Saratoga Park
Adult-rock Alternative Music
Saratoga Park is an engaging band that writes catchy melodies, well crafted musical arrangements, and eclectic, intelligent lyrics. Embracing many styles and influences
from decades of music, they still have created a sound completely unique, especially with a female and male lead vocalists! The first CD, The Short Bus,is a demo release; great musical production and arrangement of cool tunes, but with a raw vocal sound that has a more live aspect to it.
Unlike its predecessor, Helmets Optional, whose production quality sounds like a lot of
time was invested, thus its vocal sound and harmonies are superb! Go check out the website, read band bios, viewband photos, read song reviews from garageband.com listeners, a CD review from RadioIndy.com, and hear music samples. You can even get FREE MP3 downloads!!! Click on the Saratoga Park icon to go to their web site for more info and to order your copy of their CD.
